Her mother's parents John & Margaret Van Borg(?) moved to Calgary in 1884. - Anna reads her Pioneer Woman of the Year Award acceptance speech. - Her parents were married in Calgary in 1889. Following grade school she attended the Toronto Ladies School (Molton Ladies College) and graduated with her nursing degree. She returned to Calgary for 4 years and then moved to St. Louis, Minnesota. She remained in St. Louis for 17 years.
