- Side A - Biographical information about Bert Crabb's family. Father born in England and immigrated to Ontario. There he apprenticed as a photographer. Went to the West Indies on assignment for a couple years and upon his return worked for Steele & Co. photographing western Canada. He has his father's Steele & Co. contract which states his pay was $60.00 per month. Moved to Fort Macleod where he met and married his wife. They moved to Maple Creek for a short period before coming to Lethbridge. Built a photography studio on 3rd Ave South, just east of 7th Street. Business was very slow during WW1 so the father took a position in the accounting department of the City of Lethbridge where he remained until his death in 1922 at the age of 55. The negatives from the Crabb Studio were offered to the Provincial Archives. They selected what they wanted and returned the rest to Mrs. Crabb who destroyed them during a move. Information about his brothers Dick, John, Reg and Ed. Father Richard Crabb - Lethbridge Iron Works. - Biographical information about Bert Crabb: employed in the automotive trade in Lethbridge. Worked for D.S. Williamson and Imperial Motors. Describes his residence. - Jeanette Thibedeau came to Lethbridge in 1929 and went to work for A.G.T. She was born in Montana in 1906 and shorfthereafter the family moved to Blairmore. Her parents were orginally from the east. - Bert Crabb has a souvenir booklet about Lethbridge that was published by the Lethbridge News circa 1906. It contains photos of schools, hotels, coal mines, prominent citizens, and the Lethbridge business section. - AR & I and CPR stations - Rafton Canning photogapher was in this area and took photos of CPR bridge construction. It's believed he worked for the government.
