Side A Hast half of tape is blank) - The Lord Stathcona Regiment returned to Canada on a CPR steamship in March 1901. Landed in Halifax and then on to Ottawa where they received their final pay and discharge papers. - Return to Civilian Life: Stewart apprenticed as a Dentist in Edmonton for one year and then attended dental school in Toronto. He took his examines in Regina, passed, and became one of the first licenced Dentists in the NWT. His certificate is in the Hall of Fame in Toronto University. He joined the firm of McLear & Stewart in Lethbridge 13 May 1902. In the fall of 1907 word was received that a militia battery would be started in Lethbridge. Stewart was asked to command it. He then attended artillary school in Kingston and received his Major's certificate. - The 25th Independent Battery was organized 1 Sept 1908 with headquarters in Lethbridge. It was the farthest west Artillary Field Battery in Canada. Gives early history of the battery and of the equipment they trained with. - The Battery was the winner of the 1914 Kazwoski Cup, which is still in the possession of the 20th Field Battery at Lethbridge. - In 1914 Lethbridge became an artillary town. The 20th, 39th and 61st Batterys from Lethbridge served in the Canadian Corp. Side B is blank
