- The Playgoers of Lethbridge was formed in 1923 by Ernest Sterndale-Bennett, who also fostered the formation of the Alberta Drama League and the Dominion Drama Festival. W.R. (Bill) Matheson, author of the paper on the first fifty years of the Playgoers, was active in the Playgoers for a number of years. These materials were donated by Lesley Little, in memory of her mother Denise T. Black, who was a long-time member of the Lethbridge Playgoers.
