- Photographs of Key Club charter night. Jack Russell, Western Canada District key club chairman, presented a charter to Les Omatami, president of the newly formed Lethbridge Collegiate Institute Club. Sponsored by the Green Acres Kiwanis Club, the charter ceremony was held at the Marquis Hotel where about 100 people attended. Key Clubs, whose chartering must be sponsored by Kiwanis Clubs, are high school service clubs. The LCI club had a membership of 13 at the time the photo was taken, with Lawrence Jones as faculty adviser. Guests at the ceremony included Vince Kerauac, past governor of the Montana Kiwanis district, Charles Parry, lieutenant-governor of district eight of the western district and Jack Stokes, past governor of the western district.
