- History Biographical
- Mrs. Van Haarlem and family immigrated to Southern Alberta from Holland in 1906 and moved to Lethbridge in 1909. The family opened The Van Haarlem Hospital in 1909 and operated it until 1929. It was sold to the Sisters of St. Martha in that year and renamed St. Michael's Hospital.
