- Photographs of curling rink off to play downs slated for Medicine Hat. The Irene Lindsay rink won the right to advance by downing Irene Thompson and her quarter 13-6 in the finals held at the Lethbridge Curling Club. Left to right Irene Lindsay, Joan Barron, third, Enid Pepper, second and lead Thelma Coutts. Lindsay was the “A” event winner wit a record of three straight wins. Her victory over Thompson made it four straight. The Medicine Hat competition pitted 16 rinks against one another to vie for a berth in the provincial final in Calgary.
