- Photographs of Lethbridge Post Office which marked its 56th year in 1970. Each of the four faced timepieces is six feet four inches in diameter and was placed in the Gothic-style tower in 1914 despite an engraved date of 1913. The hands on the clock were 34 inches and 38 inches long. A bell once tolled in the tower, striking every hours and half hour until, according to gossip, residents living in the downtown area urged its removal because the 12 dongs at midnight proved too disturbing even for a heavy sleeper.
