About 4,000 cubic yards of concrete was to be poured and steel beams were expected to be in place by Jan. 26, 1970. The Marathon Realty Co. Ltd. project was scheduled for completion by the fall of 1970. Among the guests observing the pour were Jack Lakie, chamber of commerce president, Wilf Bowns, chamber manager and Lethbridge mayor Andy Anderson.
