- Dr. Fowler was born in Utah and moved to Magrath when he was a child. He graduated from McGill University in 1925 and interned at the Montreal Maternity Hospital. He practiced in Magrath for a few years before coming to Lethbridge in 1931 to form a partnership with Dr. Bigelow. He married the former Louise King.
