Left to right, Lt.-Col R.Keill of Vancouver, Canadian Armed Forces, Kenneth Wright, Alberta Government Telephones and Z.H. (Hank) Kruski, Trans Canada Telephone system. Lethbridge was one of nine centres in Canada to have a North American Air Defense direct communications system link. It was the only system of its kind in Alberta and was staffed 24 hours a day. The Alberta portion of the network was operated by Alberta Government Telephones for the Canadian Armed Forces.
