- Photograph of a new traffic light at the corner of 16th Avenue South and Mayor Magrath Drive. E. A. Lawrence, engineering director of the city, said the cost of equipping an intersection with traffic lights such as the one newly installed was approximately $5,500. Other intersection traffic control systems were being installed at 13th Street North on Third Avenue and Fifth Avenue and at 13 Street South on Fourth Avenue and Sixth Avenue. The new lights were expected to be in operation by early 1970.
