- Photographs of Adeline Smith, age 23, a member of the Peigan band, who, along with her husband Percy Smith and Rhonda Bastien was to operate a 20 year old business on the west side of Brocket formerly managed by W. Legge. This change in ownership moved the business from white to Indian hands. Mrs. Smith was able to buy the store and its adjoining five room living quarters through the department of Indian Affairs revolving loan fund for industries and small businesses. The grocery store-gas station also housed the town’s post office.
