- Sgt. Murray wrote 90 letters to his mother and family members, which were then stored in a shoebox until they fell into the hands of his grandson, Jim Keiver of Lethbridge. Glenn Miller, retired Warrant Officer and avid researcher of military history learned about the letters from Jim Keiver at an annual Military Antique road show he organizes at the General Stewart Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. Glenn Miller organized, transcribed and scanned the letters before donating them to the Galt Archives.
