- History Biographical
- The fire occured in the back of the shop on 6 June 1976. Firefighters were called out at about 10:40 pm and although they contained the fire to the back of the store, smoke and water damage to the entire premises was extensive. A new pumper truck of the Lethbridge Fire Department was involved in a traffic accident with a car while responding to the fire. Neither vehicle was badly damaged, and the driver of the car suffered only a cut above his left eye. [Source: The Lethbridge Herald, 7 June 1976, page 16]
