- The idea of the camp originated with a Barons area farmer and his wife. The camp is sponsored by the Elks Clubs in District No. 1 (Lethbridge, Barons, Picture Butte, Taber, Milk River And Foremost) for the Boy Scouts and Girl Guides of Southern Alberta. It is located in the Beaver Mines Area.
