- History Biographical
- In the 1970s, office space in Lethbridge City Hall ran out as the size of the civic government expanded with the growth of the city. Various city departments were re-located to City-owned or rented space throughout Lethbridge. In June 1981 it was decided to bring these departments - Engineering, Utilities and Community Services - back together in rented space in the BLT Building. In addition, space was provded for City Council chambers and the offices of the City Manager, City Clerk and City Solicitor. The BLT Building housed City offices until 2000, when the present City Hall was completed.
