- As per information from Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Lethbridge Air Cadets selected for International Drill Team. Left to right: Len Grose, 17, 1031 19th Street South, Lethbridge and Malcolm Flexhaug, Warner. Part of a 40 man team, they were selected from a class of 100 cadets attending the seven week drill instructor's course at RCAF Summer Abbotsford, British Columbia. The team will compete against the United States' Civil Air Patrol for the General Lucius V. Beau Drill Trophy at Downsview, Ontario, On August 27. Both teams will participate the same day in the grandstand shows at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto. Winners will be presented their trophies by Ed Sullivan.
