- This jig was used in the construction of the Lethbridge Glider Club's Hutter H-17 glider.
- Scope and Content
- Jig for glider spants (ribs). The note on the back of the photograph reads "The board is a flat drawing board ($3 at mill) made just big enough to take largest spant. Drawing of spant is made full size; a piece of waxed tissue put over it; and spant built on top of drawing, sticks being held by five finishing nails with heads clipped off placed tight against the sides of the sticks. Boards and lots of screws give good pressure. The boards are 3 ply Douglas fire veneer door panels."
