Custodial History

The occurence books were transferred from the Lethbridge Public Library to the Sir Alexander Galt Museum and Archives in a ceremony held in Galt Gardens on 18 September 2006 to launch Historic Lethbridge Week.

Scope and Content

The fonds consists of 14 handwritten volumes of daily occurence reports written by city police officers from the Chief to constables. Also included in many of the volumes are the reports of cases heard before the Magistrate, and the sentences imposed on convicted offenders.
