History Biographical

The Lethbridge Native Sons won the Alberta Junior Hockey Championship with a 4-2 victory over the Edmonton Canadians in the Lethbridge Arena on 28 February 1947. Bill Gibson, Odie Lowe Jr., Vic Stasiuk and Ken Simpson all scored for the Native Sons. The victory was the first Alberta Junior Hockey Championship for Lethbridge. Custodial History

This item was received by the Trail Historical Society as part of donation from the son of former hockey coach, the late Gerry Thomson. The image falls outside the Trail Historical Society's collecting mandate and they transferred it to the Lethbridge Historical Society, who in turn donated it to the Galt Museum and Archives.
