- The Ellison Millers won the Alberta Senior Softball Championship in a tournament in which their record was seven wins and one loss. In the final three games the Millers beat local team Eaton's Athletics, the Calgary Purity 99s and the Edmonton Centrals in that order. In the Western Canada Championship game played at Henderson Park, the Ellison Millers were defeated by the Regina Trocadaros. Throughout the softball season, The Lethbridge Herald reported on the team using the name Babe Harris' Lethbridge Ellison Millers.
