History Biographical
Christensen's Funeral Home was founded by Mel Christensen in 1927. Sometime between 1934 and 1936 he moved the business from its first location at 1110 3 Avenue South to 320 11 Street South. Mr. Christensen also renamed the business the Lawnview Mortuary, a name that lasted until about 1936-1937. Sometime between 1944 and 1946 Mr. Christensen moved the business again, this time to its present location at 327 10 Street South. The building at 320 11 Street South was demolished about 1963 to make way for a parking lot for Southminster United Church.
