- Albertan - Local. 1.Route of the 1897-98 Crow'snest Branch line from Lethbridge to MacLeod. Lethbridge. Junction was located near the modern Mayor Magrath subway. The line ran south down Mayor Magrath Dr. and No. 5 Highway to north of airport when it swung south to westerly of George Lucas' Farm and St. Mary River Crossing. Cutox and Kipp located on Blood Reserve. 2.New Crowsnest Branch Line of Canadian Pacific Railway. Built in 1907-08. This line reduced the grade and shortened the distance between Lethbridge and MacLeod.
