- History Biographical
- "Karla Carcamo places her shopping bag on her lap, sets her purse beside her and pulls to loosen her crimson and purple scarf just a touch. She is exhausted even though it is only 8 o’clock in the evening – some classes can just wear a girl out. She rides the bus twice a week because doesn’t have a car and it’s not so bad. She loves to listen to the conversations that people have around her while she looks out the window of the bus. If the bus is quiet or she just isn’t that into the dialogues around her she can always pull out her book. For as much as she enjoys the conversations that people have on the bus she never really strikes up conversations with anyone herself. Sometimes she’ll interact with the bus driver a bit as she gets on or off the bus, but Karla doesn’t really talk to people while on the bus – she likes to try to talk to them while waiting for the bus. She likes to make small talk with people and just say ‘hi’. She finds that most people respond quite well to that, even if they seem a bit weirded out by it at first."
