- History Biographical
- The float was a replica of H.M.S. Kent, one of six County Class cruisers which saw action during World War 1 and the one credited with helping to destroy a squadron of German cruisers at the Falkland Islands battle, December 1914. The float was sponsored by the local branches of the Sons of England and Kentish Men's Society. The chain driven truck was owned by Bill Murray of Murray's Transport and according to the donor was the first motor truck in Lethbridge. The photo was taken at the end of parade on 4th Avenue South near what is now City Hall.
