- History Biographical
- Albert Dupen, 1880-1969 came to Lethbridge In 1902 following his discharge from the Boer War. He married Gertrude Barnes in 1903 and they moved to the Riverview Ranch, 7 miles north of Lethbridge. Besides the ranch, he also operated the New Barnes Coal Mine. Gertrude passed away in 1912 and in 1916 he remarried Nellie Griffin. In 1934 they moved to Lethbridge where, Albert managed the Arlington Hotel, later called Alexandra Hotel. See attached for additional information about the Dupen Family.
