- History Biographical
- The Jackson family emigrated from Wigan, Lancashire, England to Regina, Saskatchewan. Brothers Arthur, Walter, Cyril and Harold moved to Pincher Creek with their sister Mabel in about 1905-1906. In 1906 Arthur, Walter and Cyril Jackson bought the former William Berry and Son Hardware Store. In 1907 Mr. Hunter constructed a new building and the Jackson brothers moved their hardware store into it the same year. The business was still operating in 1974. The Jackson siblings had a band made up of Mabel (piano), Cyril, (clarinet and saxophone), Walter (violin) and Harold (trumpet). Gordon Tucker played the drums.
