- History Biographical
- August Johnson was born in Sweden in 1869. He immigrated to the United States in 1892 and to Canada in 1905 where he filed for a homestead in the Barrhill District. He built a 10 x 12 foot shack on the homestead and his family moved there on May 4, 1907. They lived in the Barrhill District until 1917. Mrs Johnson died in 1936. In 1944 Mr. Johnson remarried and moved to Barons. They lived there until 1952 at which time they moved to Lethbridge. He passed away in 1960. The donor is Mr. Johnson's granddaughter.
