- Photographs of a truck accident in which an Edmonton-bound semi-trailer loaded with 39,000 pounds of California produce overturned on Scenic Drive at 11th Avenue causing an estimated $10,000 damage. Driver Victor Sydor of Edmonton was not injured and a passenger who was asleep in the cab also escaped injury. The Welch Transport Ltd. Truck had been loaded with tomatoes, yams and figs in Los Angeles. Police said the truck went out of control as it negotiated a curve and the trailer jack knifed.
