- Photograph Fred Shaw, 13, and Philip Leinweber, 14 who spent three hours in the Parade elevator when it was stuck at the second floor of the elevator shaft. After all other rescue methods failed, Stewart Allison, a city employee, was finally able to contact an elevator repair man in Calgary who explained to him the method of getting the boys out. The fire department and city police were at the scene and kept the youngsters calm. Cst. Ed Chymboryk leaves the Parade with the two boys.
