- Albertan. The late George Lomas was born in England, moved to Philadelphia, and then west. He was the Canada Life Manager and Insurance Underwriter. He moved to Calgary, and then returned to Lethbridge in 1951 to retire. He Was the Past Potentate of the Lethbridge Shriners and Oddfellows Lodge member. He was a board member of the Calgary Country Club, Past President of the Lethbridge Fair Board, Chairman of Cancer Clinic and a member of the old Board of Trade.
