- History Biographical
- The Ákaitapiiwa Ancestors Exhibit was an initiative of the Sir Alexander Galt Museum and Archives, and developed in partnership with the Royal Ontario Museum and the British Museum. It featured artifacts collected in the late 19th century by Frederick and Maude Dean-Freeman, and linked them to families and traditions that are still a part of the Kainai tribe. Kainai elders were consulted during the planning for the exhibit to ensure that the artifacts and the cultural traditions they represent were properly identified and explained. The Ákaitapiiwa Ancestors Exhibit ran from 1 May to 15 September 2002 at the Sir Alexander Galt Museum and Archives.
