Custodial History
Andrew Forgo (7 February 1905-17 January 1999). He landed in Halifax from Hungary on 16 April 1929, an immigrant to Canada. His family was supposed to follow him to Canada but never did. Mr. Forgo sent money to his wife and daughter over the years, and visited periodically but never returned to live in Hungary. When Mr. Forgo died, his estate was sent to his grand daughter in Hungary. Mr. Boulton, the donor's father hired Mr. Forgo as an employee on his dairy farm in 1935, and he remained there when Mr. Boulton and his two brothers took over ownership of the farm. When mr. Forgo retired from the Bouyldton dairy farm, he lived in lethbridge for a time. After he was hit by a car, he returned to live on the farm and died there on 17 january 1999. He is buried in Mountain View cemetery. The above information was supplied by the donors.
