The supplement originally belonged to Miss Helen Hall, who served as a Nursing Sister during World War 1. Betty Fletcher [nee Burwell] became a friend of Miss Hall's during her time as a nursing student in Medicine Hat, and later married Miss Hall's great nephew Bill Fletcher.
