History Biographical
The elementary school was one of two four-room school buildings on the north side of Coalhurst. The building to the east was called the 'Little School' and housed Grades 1 through 6. The other building housed Grades 7 through 11 and was called the 'Big School'. [Source: Our Treasured History: A History of Coalhurst and District.
