- Dr. Haig was born in North Dakota, and moved to the Claresholm district in 1902. He obtained his medical degree from McGill University in 1926. A specialist in general surgery, Dr. Haig came to Lethbridge in 1928 and in 1938 was a founding partner in the Haig Clinic with Drs. Willard R. Haig, Hugh Alexander Arnold, Edmund A.M. Cairns and J.
