- History Biographical
- Dr. Haig was born in North Dakota, and moved to the Claresholm district in 1902. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Alberta, and then attended McGill University to study surgery. He practiced in Fort Macleod, and came to Lethbridge in 1938 as a founding partner in the Haig Clinic with Drs. Arthur A. Haig, Hugh Alexander Arnold, Edmund A.M. Cairns and J. Ernest Ayre. Dr. Haig retired from the Haig Clinic in 1968, but assisted with surgeries until 1974. He died on 1 April 1989. [Sources: Lethbridge: Its Medical Doctors Dentists Drug Stores.
