- From May 1989 to March 1990, Lethbridge lawyer Philip North, QC, was retained as counsel for the City of Lethbridge Police Commission and Department during the provincial inquiry into policing in relation to the Blood tribe. Conducted by Judge C.H. Rolf, the inquiry produced its report in February 1991.
