- Photograph of sod turning for the Professional Building, the tallest in the city to that date. Left to right, Ron Passey, manager of the local Simpson-Sears store, Mayor Frank Sherring, Ludvik Pahulje, developer, and Cy Redfern of the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce. The first stage of the $1 million project was a two story building which was to be occupied by Simpson-Sears. Another eight stories were to be added later. The site was the lot east of the downtown Post Office.
