- Photograph of Bill Matheson, weatherman for CJOC-CJLH who is being threatened by two undified lethbridge “knife-wielding students” to make him explain why he should engineer some snow for the three-day Chinook Winter Carnival. The student-directed carnival featured ice scultpture, a snowball fight, tobaggoning and snowmobile races. The city was under the influence of a February Chinook which did not bode well for events.
