- Donor's husband, Thomas Lloyd Shepherd (1902-1959) acquired these photographs from various private sources to use as illustrations for an article he wanted to write about the Frank Slide. Before the article could be written and submitted to MacLean's Magazine, another article about the slide had been accepted by the magazine.
