- Stanley Howard VanOrman was born on 15 May 1917 at Taber. He was the second of three children of Adam Hunter VanOrman and Melissa (Burbank) VanOrman. Stanley's older sister Iris was born on 9 February 1915, and died as the results of burns after a wood stove accident on 9 October 1924. Stanley's younger brother Van Demar was born on 12 December 1919. Source: From Tank 77 to Taber Today, page 451.
