- Well known Calgary businessman, John McFarland was founder of the Alberta Pacific Grain Company. His son Ernest R., moved to Lethbridge in 1937 and was associated with Imperial Motors. Both McFarlands were involved in the construction of the McFarland Block, northeast corner of 4th Avenue and 6th Street South. Refer to clipping file "People Mc" for additional information.
