Scope and Content: Photograph of the overflow campground in Waterton located east of Alpine Stables occupied by the Wally Byam Western Canada caravan which was made up of made up of some 300 Air Stream trailers. The caravan was governed by a council elected at the start of the trip. Various committees such as the parking committee acted as a self-governed civil service. Wally Byam had died about a month before this caravan visited Waterton. His Air Stream clubs had a membership of about 7,000 people in 40 divisions through the U.S. and Canada. This was the third time the Caravan visited Waterton, the first being in 1956 which had stayed in the townsite.
