Photograph of Calgary Power employees and members of the Blood Tribe taking part in the switching-on ceremonies marking the opening of the Blood Indian Reserve electrification project at Glenwood substation. In the front row, wearing a sweater, is Senator James Gladstone. To his right is Percy Boulton, manager of the Calgary Power Farm Electric Service. Holding the long pole is Herman Rasmussen, Southern Alberta field supervisor for Calgary Power, who threw the relay to start current flowing. Framed in the crook of his arm is K. R. Brown, Indian agent at Cardston. To the right of Mr. Rasmussen is Head Chief Jim Shot Both Sides of the Blood Tribe, and at extreme right is Fred Gladstone, son of Senator Gladstone and a senior Indian employee of the Department of Indian Affairs.
