History Biographical
The Union Bank was Southern Alberta's first chartered bank. It amalgamated with the Royal Bank of Canada in 1925. The Royal Bank was established in Lethbridge in 1910 at the corner of 4th Avenue and 5th Street South. For a further history of the Union Bank and the Royal Bank of Canada refer to P19831062000-GM.
