History Biographical

The Lethbridge unit of the service was formed in 1940, in anticipation of the need for women in the Armed Forces. It trained 3 days per week. The training included nursing skills as well as basic drill. Instruction was provided by regular army soldiers stationed in the Lethbridge district. 16 of the members went on to regular army service.
