The text reads, "The flag of Canada and crew patch were flown aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia, STS-78, June 1 - July 7, 1996, which included the Life and Microgravity Spacelab (LMS) to study the effect of weightlessness on humans, other living organisms, and on various materials. Presented to the City of Lethbridge from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the crew of Columbia, STS-78." It is signed by Susan Helms, Payload Commander.
