- Canadian - Albertan. P.M. Sauder, during his career, held the positions of Chief Hydrometric Engineer for Alberta and Saskatchewan (1906-1920), Assistant Engineer on Section B, (LNID) Lethbridge Northern Irrigation District (1920-1923), Assistant Manager, (LNID) Lethbridge Northern Irrigation District (1923), and then became its manager (1923-1940). Sauder then became involved with the St. Mary - Milk River Development as its Colonization Manager (1950). He also served as Alberta's Director of Water Resources (1940-1944), and Manager of the Western Irrigation District (1944-1950).
